Google's "SafeSearch" is the only major search engine that actually includes filtering for child safety. For even more safety for children, Homework Helper and other child safety features can also be used.
An older version of this page is available for those who do not need the child safety features of Google or who want to add filtering to Alta Vista or Lycos. (The filtering programs designed by Alta Vista and Lycos only work properly if the "cookies" on your computer are turned on, however.)
